Fun Jet #183 Playset

Fun Jet #183 Playset

The vintage Fisher-Price Little People Fun Jet #183 Playset was introduced two years before Fisher-Price even released an airport, leaving young pilots to imagine where the jet might land or take off. This early set was also the first to include the standard luggage pieces that later appeared with the #996 Airport and its successor sets. The original 1970 version of the plane did not have a gas hole on the wing or a tow hook near the front wheel, but both features were added in 1972 so the jet could work with the airport’s fuel car once the #996 Airport was introduced. After a successful decade-long run, the Fun Jet was discontinued in 1980 and replaced in 1981 by the sleeker #182 jet with tinted windows and a self-piloted design.
