Made in 1990, the Fisher-Price Little People Beauty Salon holds the distinction of being the first and only standalone Little People hair salon ever produced. This petite set features a light blue oval base designed to interlock with others in the Fisher-Price Little People Village Assortment #2357 (Drive-In Movie Theater #2454 and Gas Station #2455), thanks to its built-in peg-and-hole connection system that allows three village bases to snap together into one larger layout. Though small in size, the Beauty Salon came with three exclusive pieces: the unique base, a pink hood-style hair dryer, and a pink-and-white car. Produced for just one year, these exclusives can be surprisingly difficult to track down today, making this charming little salon a tough but rewarding find for collectors.
This set is in wonderful vintage condition. The pink car and pink hair dryer hood are both included and in good condition. The lithos are bright and all features work as originally intended. The mirror on the inside of the beauty salon is even in excellent condition. This set is a dream for any Little People collector.
