In 1988, the Classic Edition of the Castle 993 set was released due to overwhelming popularity. The Classic Edition featured all plastic figures. The king and queen were pink in color instead of purple. The princess was blonde and the woodsman wears a farmer's scarf. The Castle base has a banner featuring a sleeping pink dragon and does not include a flag on the top tower. Because of its rarity, it's one of the hardest sets to find for collectors.
This set is minty and perfect for display! All sets will include slight bubbling on lithos (see photos for details). The dragon does have slightly loose tail and head, but has both ears making it a treasure. The set is complete with all original pieces and figures, making it a rare and treasured find for collectors and fans alike.
