In 1988, the Classic Edition of the Castle 993 set was released due to overwhelming popularity. The Classic Edition featured all plastic figures. The king and queen were pink in color instead of purple. The princess was blonde and the woodsman wears a farmer's scarf. The Castle base has a banner featuring a sleeping pink dragon and does not include a flag on the top tower. Because of its rarity, it's one of the hardest sets to find for collectors.
This set is in very good vintage condition and perfect for display! The lithos are in good condition overall. The table litho has a small bubble. The drawbridge still clicks when raised/lowered. The dragon has both ears making it a treasure. The set is complete with all original pieces and figures. This set is a collector's dream!
