Introduced in 1973, the Fisher-Price Little People Village #997 delivered an entire bustling town in one ambitious fold-out design, complete with more accessories than nearly any other Little People set of its era. Its bulky two-piece base opens to reveal shops, homes, and a working drawbridge. Among the most sought-after pieces today are the tiny mail letters, which were easily lost over the years and now command strong demand, along with standout exclusives like the phone booth with a door that really opens and closes, the barber and dentist chairs, and the distinctive bridge connector that links the two buildings together. This set is in good used condition and complete with all original pieces. The handle has broken off from age (pieces are included if you want to glue it back together). The lithos/stickers are in good condition overall. The jail cell door, car lift, fire horn, and other features still work well. The garage door is deteriorated from age with some flaking (see photos) but it still open/closes. The fireman's cot includes new removable replacement foam.
